Funded by the Chicago Public Education Fund, the Center for Urban Education Leadership, in collaboration with Chicago-based WISE Leadership Consultancy & Coaching, is designing and studying a multi-year, multi-element learning experience called the Malott Fellows program for Chicago Public School principals who lead Priority or Progress Schools. The experience engages principals each month in a full day Learning Lab that is complemented by individualized, high-dose leadership coaching.

Leading Race-Conscious School Improvement: Leadership Team Workshop Heading link

In collaboration with UIC’s Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy (IRRPP), the Race-Conscious School Improvement Workshop is a three-day professional development workshop that brings education leadership teams together to learn how to intentionally and systematically center racial justice in their improvement practices. The goal of the workshop is to develop participants’ capacities to implement race-conscious improvement within their schools with the aim of increasing educational opportunities for students of color.
